Know 5 Types of Inverters to Choose From
All of us are living in a time when it is almost impossible to get by without the many appliances and gadgets that make our lives easier. The minute the power goes off in your homes or at work, things come to a halt. If your home or office is not equipped with an inverter, such a situation can leave you helpless.
What is the basic working of an inverter?
An inverter is an electrical power converter that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). However, we, at Luminous, understand that every home has different needs, and which is why we have a comprehensive range of inverters to select from. Our inverters are made keeping consumer comfort in mind. Here are the five types of inverters offered by us:
1. High Capacity Inverters
The first one on the list is high capacity inverter. Our inverters have a higher rating and can handle more than 2KVA load. HKV (high capacity inverters) are used for commercial establishments (petrol pumps, dental chairs and small showrooms), or to run high load appliances at home, such as geyser, heater, air conditioner, microwave among the others. Apart from these home applications, inverters are also beneficial for big homes where load requirement is more. At luminous, we have 2 series of high capacity inverters: Cruze+ series and iCruze pure Sine wave output series which cater to load requirements > 2KVA and two models PRO UPS, POWER X Model which cater to load requirements equal to 2KVA. PRO UPS is a square wave output model whereas Power X is a sine wave output model. With exhilarating performance and unmatched reliability, these run your heavy load machine smoothly.
2. Connected Inverters
These are the advanced model of inverters that can be controlled with the help of WiFi technology or Bluetooth technology available on the smartphone. Mobile phones have applications that smartly monitor and controls the inverter. Zelio Wifi and Zelio-I fall under the category of our connected inverters. You could monitor and control functions of your inverter like battery capacity level, inverter load, backup time, input voltage and much more. In case of Zelio-I, You can also control your inverter with iControl features like Remote On/Off, high power mode, Auto holiday mode and Performance Optimization mode.
3. Standard Inverters
Standard inverters are the pocket-friendly series of inverters by us, which provides backup power during power cuts. We have ECO watt +, Eco Volt + and Shakti Charge + as the standard inverters. These models are best suited for Indian conditions since they run for longer hours. Like, if the sole purpose of installing an inverter in your home is to turn on a few lights and electric fans, you can opt for an Eco watt series ranging from 300 VA to 1500 VA rating. Our Eco Volt series is Pure sine wave output series available in 600 VA to 1500 VA and they are ideal for running sensitive electrical equipment like Refrigerators, TV’s and other kitchen appliances. Shakti charge series inverters are equipped with a heavy-duty charger that helps with full charging current even at a low voltage. The standard inverters support flat, tubular, SMF and local battery.
<4. Integrated Inverter
An integrated model is a non-separable combination of both battery and inverter. These batteries are operated at high voltage levels and give more back up. The unit of an integrated inverter is powered by a Li-ion battery. Our Regalia range is intuitive and easy to use. These inverters are the first wall-mounted inverters in India, which are available in 2 models, Regalia 1530 and 1550. The Li-Ion batteries that have a life span of up to 10 years and require no maintenance at all. The intelligent battery management system and safety mechanism protects against surge and short circuits make it the best sine wave home UPS system with an inbuilt battery. Along with this, the integrated Regalia range that we have, has a touch screen display to show backup time and battery charging time.
5. Premium Inverter
We also have a premium range of inverters that provides real-time data communication in terms of backup, load percentage on the inverter, battery charging percentage, and more with the help of an in-built LCD display. Zelio Plus series fall under the premium range of inverters. These intelligent inverters with 32bit DPS processor use sine wave technology and have a load capacity of 900 Va (single battery) and 1500 VA (double battery). Along with this, Zelio is fitted with robust safety features such as Mains by pass switch and MCB for short-circuit, reverse polarity, over-charging of batteries and deep-discharge batteries. Its pure sine wave output guarantees the safety and noiseless operations of the connected devices.
Buying an inverter is a long-term investment for your home. Hence, you must make the right decision before you buy one. With our comprehensive range of inverters, you can choose the perfect one to suit your requirements.
