What is the difference between normal battery and a solar battery?
Solar batteries are rated as C10, while normal inverter batteries are rated C20. A C10 battery has 10% higher power capacity in comparison to normal C20 rated inverter battery which means a 150 Ah C10 solar battery will give approximately 20% more power back up as compared to 150 Ah C20 inverter battery.

What is depth of discharge (Dod)?
Depth of discharge (DoD) assesses a battery's usability in relation to its overall size. If its is a 100% DoD battery, it ensures that you can use the entire battery storage capacity to power your house. When a battery has a 80% DoD, it means you can use up to only 80% of its power (e.g., for a 150Ah solar battery, you can use it upto 120Ah before the battery needs to charge again).
What is the design life and topping up frequency of Luminous solar batteries?
Luminous solar batteries come with a longer design life which offers long cycles of 1500@80% DoD and 5000@20% DoD. They come with very low maintenance offering topping up frequency of once in 8 to 10 months.
